Ashland - Ashland Summerfest includes fireworks on July 6, 2014 at the Ashland Fish & Game Club at 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 7). For more info phone (207) 435-6363.
Augusta - July 4, 2014 is the culmination of the Whatever Family Festival (which runs from June 18 through July 4). Big bash at the Riverfront in Waterfront Park in Augusta on July 4th. For info phone parade coordinator Wendy Somes at (207) 626-2350 or the KVCC at 623-4559. The fireworks are on July 4, 2014 at around 9 p.m. at the East Side boat landing (rain date July 5, 2014).
Bangor - Fireworks are scheduled at the Bangor Waterfront Park on July 4, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. (rain date July 5).
Bar Harbor - Independence Day Celebration - Typically many activities are scheduled in Bar Harbor on July 4th. Bath Heritage Days - July 3-6, 2014. Four days of July 4th activities, with a fireworks finale at the Bath waterfront on Sunday, July 6th at 9:15 p.m.
Beals - Fireworks on July 5, 2014 at Perio Point on the A.C. Inc. property firing over the water at around 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 6).
Bethel - Fireworks on July 3, 2014 at the Bethel Inn Golf Course on Maple Hill Road at 9:30 p.m. (rain date July 6).
Boothbay Harbor - Fireworks in the evening of July 4th over the harbor on a barge near McFarland Island (rain date July 5, 2014).
Bridgton - Fireworks on July 3, 2014 at about 9:10 p.m. at the gravel pit at Stevens Brook School (rain date July 5, 2014).
Brooks - Fireworks on July 4, 2014 at about 9 p.m. at Community Park in Brooks (rain date July 6, 2014).
Camden - Fireworks on July 4th at dusk between Curtis Island and Camden Harbor (rain date July 5th). For a birds-eye view of the Independence Day pyrotechnics there are also fireworks sails on several schooners. There will be fun and afforable options for all tastes. Carrabassett Valley - Fireworks on July 4, 2014 at the Carrabassett Valley Airport across from Ayottes Store on Route 27 at about 9:15 p.m.
Casco - Fireworks open to the public on June 30, 2014 on a raft offshore at Point Sebago Resort after 9 p.m. (rain date July 1, 2014).
Castine - Fireworks on July 4, 2014 on floats in front of the public boat launch and Dennett's Wharf Restaurant at 9 p.m. (rain date July 6, 2014).
Damariscotta - Fireworks off Gay's Point at Water Street in Damariscotta on July 4, 2014 at 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 5).
Deer Isle - Stonington - 2014 Independence Day celebration activities are on July 4th. Celebrate Independence Day on the Island! Parade, community band & Color Guard, Stonington Six road races, fish pier events, live entertainment and fireworks at dusk. Denmark - Public Fireworks on July 5, 2014 at 9 p.m. at Four Wheeler Trail off of Picket Hill Road (rain date July 6).
Dexter - Fireworks on July 3, 2014 at Dexter High School Football Field at 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 5, 2014).
East Millinocket - The East Millinocket Summerfest includes fireworks on July 11, 2014 at about 9 p.m. at the Katahdin Paper Mill (rain date July 12, 2014). See also Millinocket.
Easton - Easton Field Days includes public fireworks on July 12, 2014 at around 9:30 p.m. at the field between Easton Elementary & High School on Bangor Road (rain date July 13, 2013).
Eastport - 4th of July - Largest July 4th celebration in Maine, with events scheduled from July 1, 2014 (Canada Day, with Fireworks on Deer Island Point Park in New Brunswick, Canada at dusk that evening), continuing through Independence Day on July 4th, 2014 (also with Fireworks that evening at the Eastport waterfront) and still more events on Saturday, July 5th. There are literally dozens of scheduled events, including Grand Independence Parade, Fireworks over the Bay, free entertainment at Overlook Park, greasy pole and water sports, antique car show, contests and games for all ages with prizes. Traditionally, we have a visit from a U.S. Navy ship (this year the U.S.S. Anzio (CG-68) arriving on the morning of July 3rd). Stay tuned to our website for updates.
Forks - Fireworks at the island where the Dead & Kennebec Rivers meet in Forks, Maine on July 5th, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. (rain date July 6, 2014).
Freeport - Fireworks on July 4, 2014 at the Town Snow Dump on Snow Road at 9 p.m. (rain date July 5, 2014).
Frye Island - Fireworks at the Long Beach Marina on Frye Island on July 5, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. (rain date July 6).
Grand Lake Stream - Join Grand Lake Stream for an old-fashioned, small town 4th of July Celebration, Grand Lake Stream America, featuring a Guide's dinner, a pie eating contest, as well as frog racing, a parade and live music. For info phone (207) 796-2100.
Greenville / Moosehead Lake Region - On the fourth of July, 2014, Greenville comes alive with the areas celebration of Independence Day. We have a fun day planned with games, a craft fair, and food vendors. A parade will roll along the main streets of Greenville, and Fireworks will finish off the evening. Events are at East Cove in Greenville.

Lewiston/Auburn Liberty Festival and Facebook - July 4, 2014. The Lewiston Auburn Liberty Festival is an annual 4th of July event held at the Great Falls Plaza in Auburn and in Veteran's Park in Lewiston with bands, entertainment and food vendors. AWAITING 2014 UPDATE: Liberty, Maine - 3rd Annual 4th of July Boat Parade. The 3rd Annual 4th of July Boat Parade will be held at "Little Lake St. George", Liberty, Maine on Saturday, July 2nd. Oxford - Fireworks on July 3, 2014 at about 9:15 p.m. in the center of the track area at the Oxford Plains Speedway.
Phippsburg - Private fireworks on July 3, 2014 behind the tennis courts overlooking the poind at Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg (rain date July 5).
Poland Spring - Private fireworks on July 5, 2014 at the Poland Spring Golf Course at Poland Spring Resort at 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 5, 2012).
Portland - July 4, 2014. The annual 4th of July Festival in Portland, Maine is the Stars and Stripes Spectacular. At approximately 9:15 p.m. enjoy a fireworks display over Casco Bay from the East End Promenade. Food vendors on site. For more info phone (207) 233-4339 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also in Portland on July 4 is a public reading of the Declaration of Independence by former State Representative Herb Adams at the Maine Historical Society at 489 Congress Street, where you can also view a copy of the 1776 Dunlap Broadside. The Dunlap is one of only 26 surviving copies of this important piece of American history.
Rangeley - July 3, 2014. Rangeley Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd with events all day and fireworks at dusk. Events start at 10 a.m.
Raymond - Fireworks at the Kingsley Pines Camp docks in Raymond on July 4, 2014 (rain date 5). According to the Fire Marshall these are public fireworks, but best to call the camp at (207) 894-9030 to make sure.
Saco - Fireworks on July 3, 2014 at the Funtown/Splashtown USA rear parking lot, 774 Portland Road, at 9:30 p.m. (rain date July 5, 2014).

South Harpswell - Fireworks on July 4, 2014 at 70 Whites Point Road at 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 5, 2014).
Southwest Harbor - The Southwest Harbor & Tremont Chamber of Commerce will host the 2014 Fireworks display this year on July 4th at about 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 5). Fireworks will be visible from many locations around the harbor. To help sponsor this event, call (207) 244-9264 to make a donation to the Fireworks Fund.
Thomaston July 4th or Thomaston Facebook July 4th - July 4, 2014. This is a large traditional small town Independence Day celebration with pancake breakfast, big parade, entertainment, pet show, horseshoe tournament, Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, Adult 5K Firecracker Race, baking contest, chicken barbeque, music, crafts, children's activities and fireworks at night. Turner - Fireworks on July 4, 2014 on the ball field by Route 117 at 9:15 p.m. (rain date July 5).
Winslow - Many 2014 are scheduled starting with Miss 4th of July Pageant on June 28 then more events from July 2, 2014 through the July 4th parade & fireworks. (Fireworks rain date is July 5, 2014). Huge celebration of Independence Day, including "The largest parade in the State of Maine." The evening fireworks display is at Fort Halifax Park.
Winthrop - Norcross Point, Winthrop. Thousands of folks visit Winthrop each year for the annual Fourth of July fireworks display overlooking beautiful Maranacook Lake and Norcross Point.
