The annual Bar Harbor Fine Arts Festival show is held on the grounds of Bar Harbor's premier luxury hotel; The Bar Harbor Inn, strategically located in the middle of town on the harbor waterfront. Artists and patrons alike agree that the location is an ideal venue for this upscale arts event. The show features an "early-bird" jurying enabling artists to plan their summer trip and reservations in advance. The show is held at the peak of the tourist season in Bar Harbor and traveling artists are encouraged to combine the show with other local shows or a vacation to our wonderful Acadia National Park. May 26 thru May 28, 2012. The sixth annual Putting for Patriots event will take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 26 through May 28. Each spring, over 30 miniature golf courses across the country come together to raise money for three worthy charities, benefiting veterans and their families - Hope for the Warriors, TAPS, and Homes for our Troops. Area businesses can become involved throughout the month of May buy purchasing sponsorships. Individuals can become involved over Memorial Day weekend by playing golf and making a donation. Jun 03, 2012. The Bar Harbor Tea & Tour will be Sunday, June 3, 2012 from noon to 4 p.m. Sponsored by the Bar Harbor Bed and Breakfast Association, this event is now in it's 13th year and provides a fund raising opportunity for local Mount Desert Island Non Profit Organizations. Over the past 12 years, we have raised approx. $15,000 for these groups. Join Bar Harbor's Innkeepers for tea, and tour some of these historic properties. Explore the inns and meet your hosts. All proceeds will benefit the Bar Harbor Food Pantry. Tickets are $15 per adult, $10 for children (ages 2-12, under 2 are free). On Sunday June 3rd you can visit the following: Atlantean; Aysgarth Station; Cleftstone Manor; Hearthside Inn; Holbrook House; Graycote; Saltair; and Inns at Ullikana. Tickets are available at the Saltair Inn or at the Acadia Welcome Center in Trenton.
