Description: Village Soup has acquired the six Courier-Gazette Publications throughout Maine in July, 2008. These old publications were The Courier-Gazette (Rockland), The Camden Herald, The Republican Journal (Belfast), The Waldo Independent (Belfast) The Bar Harbor Times, and The Capital Weekly (Augusta). Of these, The Waldo Independent and Waldo County Citizen have been folded into the Republican Journal with a Village Soup link.
