Jul 04 thru Jul 07, 2012. Celebrate L.L.Bean's 100th anniversary with four days of fun right here in their hometown of Freeport, Maine. Enjoy free outdoor concerts every evening in Discovery Park, test your skills on our 25-foot climbing wall and make sure to check out the L.L.Bean Bootmobile while you're here. Other fun activities will include: July 4 - Compete in the 35th Annual L.L.Bean 10K Road Race; See the Fourth of July parade march right down Main Street; July 5 - Try kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding with free Outdoor Discovery Courses, Meet Wally the Green Monster and see the Boston Red Sox World Series trophies; July 6 - Enjoy free concerts by local and regional artists all afternoon and into the evening; July 7 -Watch one of the largest fireworks displays ever seen in the state of Maine. Oct 13, 2012. Fall Festival at Wolfe's Neck Farm is a celebration of the year's harvest. Similar to the Spring Celebration, we cooperate with local farms and organizations to provide activities including seed saving, hay climbing, horse team demonstrations, pumpkin decorating and more. We also run pumpkin hayrides during the festival - take a tractor ride out to our pumpkin patch and pick your favorite pumpkin. The Fall Festival also offers hot food and lively music. This is a great educational afternoon for families. The Fall Festival costs $5 per person or $20 for a family.
