Jun 02, 2012. Festival FrancoFun took over from the Festival de Joie in 2006. This Franco-American cultural festival features cultural music, traditions, language and foods at Franco American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar Street. Events in 2012 include Franco-American breakfast at 7 a.m. followed at 9:15 a.m. by Mr. Magic and storytelling with Michael Parent. Then Franco-Ameircan menu for lunch at the Center, after lunch is music with 4 groups inlcuding solosist Joelle Morris who moved to Maine from France. Tinpanic, a 14 piece steel drum band, starts the evening music session after supper, followed by a Franco American 5-piece group from Rumford called Norm Gagnon and then a local group C'etait Sibon will wrap up the evening from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more info phone Richard Martin at the Franco-American Heritage Center, (207) 783-1585.
