The Kneading Conference is a gathering of home and professional bakers, millers, grain farmers, food entrepreneurs, maltsters, wood-fired oven builders, community organizers and anyone who loves handcrafted bread and the idea of restoring local food networks. Over 30 experts gather from around the U. S. and Canada to lead workshops and panel discussions on everything about bread - from putting the grain in the soil to enjoying the first bite! Jul 28, 2012. Last year, more than 2,500 people took part in the Artisan Bread Fair, and this year we anticipate double that number who will come to sample delicious breads and pastries, enjoy handmade pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, buy the best books and equipment for baking at home, talk to professional bakers, listen to live music, find antique baking tools, beautiful kitchen linens, and scythes, get tips from King Arthur Flour experts about the use of their various baking flours, watch demos, and eat superb Maine made foods.
