I Hate Hamlet, presented by ACAT at the Waterville Opera House Studio Theater. Andrew Rally seems to have it all: celebrity and acclaim from his starring role in a hit television series; a rich beautiful girlfriend; a glamorous, devoted agent; the perfect New York apartment; and the chance to play Hamlet in Central Park. There are, however, a couple of glitches: his series has been canceled; his girlfriend is clinging to her virginity; and he has no desire to play Hamlet. When Andrew's agent visits him, she reminisces about her brief romance with John Barrymore many years ago, in Andrew's apartment. This prompts a seance to summon his ghost. From the moment Barrymore returns, the laughs are nonstop as Andrew wrestles with his conscience, Barrymore and his sword, and the fact that he fails as Hamlet in Central Park. Tickets: Adults $12, Seniors & Youth $10. Performances June 1, 2, 8, 9 at 7:30 p.m. and June 3 & 10 at 2 p.m. Event #8485 Map + Directions

The Race, presented by ACAT at the Waterville Opera House Studio Theater. Based on a screenplay by Beth Eisen, this is the true story of Mina Hubbard. Mina's husband, Laddie, had attempted to map the interior of Labrador and died in the attempt. When Dillon Wallace, his former partner, publishes his memoir of the expedition, blaming its failure on Laddie's poor leadership and planning, Mina is determined to restore Laddie's honor by leading an expedition to complete what he had started. Securing her husband's former guide, she sets out, only to discover that Wallace has organized his own expedition with the same goal. And the race is on!
