Maine Lobster Ride and Roll
400 Broadway
Rockland,
Maine
Phone: (207) 623-4511
Jul 21, 2012. The Maine Lobster Ride & Roll offers Maine's most scenic bike rides along winding country lanes and the breathtaking rockbound coast of Midcoast Maine. The ride features four distances, from a family-friendly 16 miles to a route that has been rated by Outdoor Magazine as one of the top centuries in the country. All four routes pass by lakes, lighthouses and lobster boats. All have maps, support services and rest stops with food and water. The queen of the Maine Lobster Ride will greet returning riders with bells ringing! They then will enjoy a fresh Maine lobster roll lunch, with vegetarian and tuna options available. Live footage of the Tour de France will play on a big screen during lunch. Maine’s own world-famous Lobster Bike will be there, too. Lobster Riders get collectible Lobster Ride socks! The ride benefits the Bicycle Coalition's education and advocacy work for better bicycling in Maine. Meet at Oceanside High School (formerly Rockland High School) on 400 Broadway aka Rte 1A.
