May 06, 2012. 11th Annual Cruisin' to Graduation Car Show. Held rain or shine. Open to Exhibitors at 8 a.m. Public gates open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Medomak Valley High School grounds. Exhibitor's suggested rate is $5 per vehicle/driver/passenger. General admission is $4 Adults, $3 students and children under 5 free. Benefit Project Graduation. Over 400 vehicles with 3 trophies per class, over 36 classes, 4 ft trophy & $100 cash for Best of Show, People's Choice, Longest Distance, Loud Pipe Contest, Raffle drawings, 50/50 , door prizes, Matchbox racing, Musical Entertainment, Special attractions include vehicles from Owls Head Transportation, Seal Cove Auto Museum, etc. Concessions-lobster rolls, hamburgers, sausage dogs, pies. MVHS Greenhouse plant sale. North Star Driving School Drunk Buster Goggles & Union Farm Equipment golf cart. Demonstrations- Hot wax, air brush, etc. Jail booth. Erskine Academy's Jobs for Maine's Graduates (JMG) career association is hosting an Auto & Art Show on Friday, May 11, at the Windsor Fairgrounds from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The show will benefit the students leadership training, job skills and career exploration. The show will appeal to an entire family showcasing local elementary, middle school and high school art at the 4-H Exhibition hall, and two hours of games for children. The show will feature the NASCAR Technical Institute's (NTI) racecar at show center. Auto show pre-registration can be accomplished by emailing Dave Hickey with Year, Make, Model and owner's name of car. Event schedule: Gates open for car owners, vendors, musical acts, artists at 8 a.m. Gates open for admission (Start of Auto & Art Show) at 3 p.m. Auto & Art Judging at 3:30 p.m. Children's games (Face painting, Tug of War, Twister, Sharks & Minnows, Red Rover) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Robotics Display at 4:30 p.m. followed by Bingo until 7:30 p.m. Racecar Raffle announced at 4:30 p.m. Other events, including live music and art show results throughout the evening.
