Start planning your costumes now! What's it all about? Read on! A costume parade around the Great Lawn with prizes for different ages and in several categories. A feast of finger foods and frightful beverages for ghouls and goblins. A Haunted Fairy House Village! Oct 01 thru Oct 30, 2011. Pumpkin Hayrides at Wolfe's Neck Farm. Come on out to the Wolfe's Neck Farm for a family outing to remember. Set on the shores of Casco Bay, Wolfe's Neck Farm is a 626 acre nonprofit demonstration farm just a short, scenic drive from downtown Freeport and adjacent to Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park. Enjoy the fall foliage and take a hayride out to the pumpkin field. While you're here, visit the animals in the barnyard or go for a walk through the woods. Pumpkin hayrides cost $6/person or $20/family (including pumpkin) and benefit the Wolfe's Neck Farm Education Program. Horns rule at the largest Touch A Truck in Southern Maine at Noble High School from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Participants include RE/MAX hot air balloon, monster trucks, race cars, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and lots more! Ear plugs, goodies for the kids, and maps will be provided. Visit our "Kids Zone" with a mobile rock wall, "Get on Board" with Rye Airfield, face painting, mini tractor pull, free ice cream samples from Shain's of Maine, and more! Featuring hayrides, bounce houses, face painting, glowing jack-o-lanterns and more, this fundraiser has it all! 2010 saw record crowds and this year promises to be even bigger and better. As with all UCP of Maine events, all funds raised go directly back to supporting local children and adults living with disabilities. Oct 29, 2011. Free Community Trunk-or-Treat by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Safe and fun trick-or-treating for all in a family-friendly environment on Saturday, October 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a movie, popcorn, fog bubbles, luminaries and more. Refreshments for parents too. Awards for best costume, best jack o' lantern, and best trunk decorations. The Smith Lane parking lot will be closed off and lined with decorated parked cars. This is a safe, fun, and unique way to trick or treat by going ""trunk to trunk" in a family friendly, festive atmosphere, so come and enjoy! Individuals or groups can sign up to decorate a trunk and provide candy to the little ghosts, goblins, and princesses. (Please no scary masks or very frightening costumes).
