Sep 10, 2011. The Sandsations Sand Sculpting Contest is a family-friendly event where sand sculptors of any skill level come together for casual competition and outdoor fun! This event is held annually at Pine Point Beach, where families can enjoy Maine's natural beauty and connect with other families while supporting Birth Roots, a local non-profit, that positively impacts families across Southern Maine. Join us for Touch-A-Truck at the Gray Shop 'N Save parking lot on Route 100, where kids get a chance to get behind the wheel and explore over 15 of your favorite vehicles including fire engines, cement mixers, army tanks and construction trucks. There will also be a raffle, facepainting, and a hot dog lunch. It's sure to be a day you and your children will remember. This year enter a raffle to win a ride in a Fire Truck! There is a $2 suggested donation per person. Non-perishable food and personal care items are also accepted. All proceeds will benefit the Gray Community Food Pantry, serving an average of 100 families/month from the greater Gray and New Gloucester area. The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
