The fourth annual Neighborhood House Invitational Arts and Crafts Show will take place Thursday (2 p.m. to 7 p.m.), Friday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the Neighborhood House, 1 Kimball Road. The organizers, Jodie Perry, jeweler; and Linda Perrin, glassblower, have selected thirty five distinguished artisans in a variety of mediums to participate. Many of the exhibitors are quite local, while some are from other parts of ME or MA, NY, PA, and RI. With the help of the beauty of the Neighborhood House, we create a simple direct marketplace where artisans bring their wares and meet their audience face-to-face. Aug 20, 2011. The Lovell Arts and Artisans Craft Fair held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. is a long running juried fair, now in its 36th year. About 55 artisans skilled in all types of art work come to the New Suncook School in Lovell Maine, on the third Saturday of every August. The event benefits the Charlotte Hobbs Library in Lovell as participating artists donate a percentage of their sales to the Library and with a judging of work as a prerequisite for entry, it is a very high quality show. Combined with a large book sale of high quality books, home made refreshments and a raffle of art work donated by ten participating artists, this comes together as a wonderful event.
