Dec 01 thru Dec 11, 2011. This December, the HANDMADE Arts and Crafts show returns to Waterfall Arts' Clifford Gallery for its second year. HANDMADE is an annual exhibit showcasing a curated collection of unique, high-quality HANDMADE goods and artwork by over forty indie crafters and alternative artists. For the show, the gallery is transformed into a modern marketplace featuring jewelry, altered and silkscreened clothing, hand printed stationery, home goods, limited edition prints, soaps, knitted and felted accessories, photography, children's toys and original artworks. HANDMADE is a fundraising event for Waterfall Arts; a portion of the proceeds benefit the organization and its programming. Founded in 2000, Waterfall Arts is a donor supported, nonprofit, contemporary art center with locations in Belfast and Montville Maine. It's mission is to create community in harmony with nature through the transformative power of the arts. Waterfall Arts offers classes, lectures, residencies and other educational events plus studio and gallery space. HANDMADE will be on display in the Clifford Gallery at 256 High Street in Belfast from December 1st through 11th. Hours during the event are Thursday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment, closed on Monday.
