May 21, 2011. The Bar Harbor Merchant Street and Craft Fair is an annual event designed to highlight Bar Harbor merchants and local crafters. Bar Harbor merchants all have something unique to offer. On May 21st, stroll the streets to get a Taste of what it is that makes them special. You may also attend the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce Taste of Bar Harbor Food oriented events. This year's event takes on a new format. It will be a true Sidewalk Sale! Additionally we will be hosting a Taste of Bar Harbor Craft Fair, located in the parking lot adjacent to The First. The Craft Fair features but is not limited to local crafters & artisans. Come support your local favorites and discover some new ones along the way. In case of rain the Craft Fair will be held at the Town of Bar Harbor Municipal Building located on Cottage Street, across from Hannaford Supermarket. Each year the Bar Harbor Merchants Association donates the proceeds from table registration to an Island Non-Profit.
