Feb 20 thru Feb 22, 2009. Derby Fest is run by the Sebago Lake Rotary Club. On Friday night there is the Hardwater Classic, Maine's richest purse for car racing on ice. Ice racing for motorcycles as well. The races will be held at Point Sebago Resort. A two-day ice fishing derby starts on Saturday, with over $25,000 in prizes. Also on Saturday is an air show and fly-in at Raymond Beach, with skating, sliding, snowshoeing for the kids and food vendors. Sunday features snowmobile events, including antique snowmobiles, a huge radar run at Raymond Beach and a proposed extreme snowmobile jumping show. Fundraisers for Maine Children's Cancer Program will also jump into the frigid waters (about 34 degrees) of Sebago Lake. | Report Update
