Starting on Friday at 5:30, come to the clubhouse on Scammon Road for the Chili/Chowder & More! Cook-off. Then on Saturday at 9:00 there will be a Snowmobile Scavenger Ride followed by our annual Cook-Out/Cook-In. Come roast hot dogs & marshmallows on the fire and enjoy deep fried turkey, hamburgers & hot dogs in the clubhouse. All are free! (donations welcome). On Tuesday we will have the Family Ride and Kids Eat Free Lunch. Then on Friday, we will have a parade and bonfire on East Cove of Moosehead Lake. Feb 18 thru Feb 20, 2010. OOB365 in cooperation with the Town of Old Orchard Beach, has planned a community event celebrating winter and bringing families together. The event takes place between February 18th and February 20th. The Winter Carnival kicks off Thursday, February 18th at 6:00 p.m. with a Miss Winter Carnival contest at Jimmy The Greeks. Tickets are $5 each or free with purchase of a Winter Carnival button. The fun continues Friday at the school practice fields with snow golf, snow shoeing, ice bowling and more. Saturday the action continues downtown with tobogganing down Old Orchard Street, a Penguin Plunge to benefit the ballpark plus more crazy winter games. One highlight of the day will be the "Souper Bowl" contest featuring citizens and eateries vying for the top prize. This award will be voted on by the attending public. Evening activities include a game night on Friday with a Left-Right-Center Tournament at JJs Eatery and Texas Hold-Em at The Strike Zone. Saturday night is a social at The Brunswick with Motor Booty Affair. There will be a happy hour pub crawl on Saturday from 5-6:30pm. Also on Saturday is an fly-in at Raymond Beach, with skating, sliding, snowshoeing for the kids and food vendors. Sunday features snowmobile events, including antique snowmobiles, a huge radar run at Raymond Beach.
