Sep 27, 2014. Punkinfiddle features old-time games, traditional arts, lively music, hands-on activities, tasty food, farm animals, and lots of smiles in a historic seaside setting. Wells Reserve educators and volunteers will help visitors discover why estuaries are so important not only for sea life but also for people. Kids can go on an estuary theme scavenger hunt, sport face-paint sea creatures, construct fish crowns, make corn-husk dolls, and join a nature walk to the salt marsh. Event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In past years, more than twenty skilled artisans have demonstrated spinning and weaving, violin and folk instrument making, broom making, stonemasonry, beekeeping, and other Maine traditions.
