Sabbathday Lake Shaker Herb Garden Internships
Jun 03 thru Jun 26, 2008. New Gloucester. Open to all who would like to learn about herb gardening, herb lore and creative herb uses. The internships run for eight weeks. They are held twice a week, Tuesdays OR Thursdays. The morning gardensessions run from 10am to 12 noon and then after lunch at the Girls' shop you will go to the Sisters' Shop for an herb project from 12:30 to 2pm every other week. Designing an Herbal Theme Garden - Shaker Village

Create a garden space that's fun, functional and filled with your personality. Theme gardens can be medieval, colonial, astrological, meditative and more. If you can dream it, Betsey-Ann Golon will help you build it. Participants will receive several field grown herbs from the Shaker gardens. Fee is $40 and pre-registration is required. Bar Harbor Bed and Breakfast Association Spring Tour
Jun 06 thru Jun 08, 2008. Bar Harbor. Come and enjoy Bar Harbor Bed and Breakfast Association's annual Spring Bed and Breakfast Inn Tea and Tour Weekend, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All proceeds from this event are being donated to the Criterion Theatre and Arts Center restoration project. This magnificent Art Deco theater will also be featured as a tour location. The Bar Harbor Tea Company is partnering with us this year to provide samples of their unique tea blends for you to enjoy as you tour our beautiful historic Inns and their gardens. Relax with the owners over afternoon tea and stop by the Mount Desert store to talk tea with James and Stacy. Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation
