Camp Larga's mud obstacle course challenges the most fit individuals to face their fears and limitations and go beyond what they think they can do and reach inside themselves for inner strength. Come check us out and face your limits. weekend Mud run options Our mud run provides options that others can't beat. These 4 alternatives make each run a challenge each time you attend. Option #1 "Get over it" - performing the 20 obstacles in sequence is a challenge in itself. Option #2 "The walk-about" 2 1/2 mile trek and 20 obstacles. Option #3 "Hard-core" - 5 miles and 20 obstacles. Option #4 "The Best of the Best" - 10 miles-20 obstacles. Jun 05, 2011. The American Red Cross in Maine is planning a 5k fundraising Walk around Back Cove to be at Payson Park in Portland. This will be an exciting family fun event that will bring awareness about American Red Cross in Maine Service to the Armed Forces and will also be an opportunity to Serve Those Who Serve Our Nation. Registration is Free! Walkers who raise at least $100 will receive a Red Cross Walk T-Shirt and a goodie bag. Registration will open at 12 p.m. and the Walk Starts at 1 p.m.. The event will be a family fun filled atmosphere with plenty of free food and beverages and great music! Jun 18, 2011. This year the Close to the Coast 5k & 10k marks its 16th Anniversary! The course is run on quiet roads and forest trails along the ocean in beautiful Winslow Park, the home of the Lobsterman Triathlon. Registration is from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 .m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. The Race is part of the Winslow Park Family Fun Day, a great time for families with all the events free of charge. Enjoy free entrance to the park for the day, hotdogs, ice cream, games, swimming, activities, playground and a moon bounce house. Oceanside camping is available for those wanting to stay over night. Registration is $15 with guaranteed t-shirt through June 10, 2011 and $15.00 with possible t-shirt through race day. We pride ourselves on our race prizes, The top 2 finishers in each category receive a pie! Additionally, there will be a 1K Kids Fun Run after the main race which requires no application or fees and children's prizes provided by Wilbur's of Maine. Slugger and his Dad lead the way on the flat 5K course which begins in front of the Portland Expo building, travels down Congress Street, turning down Stevens Avenue, and making a right onto Brighton Avenue back down Deering Avenue into Fitzpatrick Stadium. The race culminates inside Hadlock Field in front of the third base dugout. Benefits Prostate Cancer Research. Kids Fun Run too.
