Sep 17, 2011. Run along the beach at the 11th Annual Ogunquit Beach Lobster Dash, a 5 mile race run entirely on the hard-packed sands of beautiful Ogunquit Beach, up to Moody Beach in Wells and back. The Lobster Dash is a unique race, designed to celebrate the life and memory of a unique person, Greg Gumbinner. Sep 18, 2011. The starting line is for the Trail to Ale 10K is on Fore Street in front of The Portland Company. The 10K loops Back Cove and finishes near East End Beach. Most of the course is off-road trails with stone dust and paved surfaces. Runners and walkers are invited to walk approximately one mile from the finish line to the post-race party as a cool down, or enjoy a free ride on the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad. Chip timing by Granite State Race Services using ChampionChip. A post race party will be held at the registration area at The Portland Company from 9:30-11:30 a.m. We will have healthy snacks from Whole Foods Market, pizza courtesy of Portland Pie Company, and complimentary beverages from Shipyard Brewing Company.
