Forever Plaid - Bangor Opera House
131 Main Street
Bangor, Maine 04401
Phone: (207) 942-3333
Oct 21 thru Nov 08, 2009. One of the most popular musicals in recent memory, this delicious revue centers on four young, eager male singers who were killed in a collision with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see The Beatles live on The Ed Sullivan Show. Miraculously, the boy are revived for a posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Singing in perfect harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the "Plaids" are guaranteed to be a smash hit, with beloved songs and delightful patter that will keep you rolling in the aisles when you're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the '50s.
