10/05/2009 - University Supervisor
Lincoln. Walden University seeks University Supervisors for openings in the Lincoln, Maine area starting in January. Preferred candidates will have Master's degree and (current or previous) License in Special Eduction (SE). University Supervisors are part-time faculty members who regularly observe and evaluate teacher candidates during their demonstration teaching experiences. University Supervisors visit school settings during the regular school day to assess the performance of teacher candidates. Collaborating with cooperating teachers, University Supervisors provide leadership for planning, supervising, evaluating, and implementing the demonstration teaching experience for teacher candidates. Essential Duties: Provide teacher candidates and cooperating teachers with an orientation to Walden University and the demonstration teaching experience; conduct at least 7 observations during 14 week demonstration period; additional electronic and telephonic observations and communications. Education/Experience: Master's and current or past licensure Early Childhood Education or SE; at least 3 years of teaching experience while holding a valid teaching license in the state where the experience was gained. Responsibilities: Participate in all aspects of golf course maintenance and including: personnel supervision, record keeping, equipment maintenance and repair. Qualifications: Working knowledge and experience in golf course maintenance. Dedication needed to achieve the best possible playing conditions at Spring Meadows. Have a Maine Pesticide Applicators License or the ability to obtain one within two months.
