02/22/2009 - Gary - A few days in Bar Harbor
I enjoy visiting all parts of Maine, but since I love water, yachts and wandering about small shops I always enjoy a visit to Bar Harbor. The loop drive in Acadia National Park is a must. I've taken enough digital photos there to fill up a hard drive. Each visit to Acadia presents different photo opportnities, with ever changing variables such as where the sun is in the sky and the time of year. Either before or after the loop drive have some blueberry pancakes at Jordan's Restaurant on Cottage Street. Stroll the shops in Bar Harbor. Hop in the car and scoot over to Southwest Harbor, the quietside of Mount Desert Island for lots of yacht photo opps.
