The coast is most dramatic when a northeaster is blowing. Here is a photo taken near the lighthouse at Pemaquid Point during a rare summer northeaster.

While most visitors at the Portland Head Lighthouse take pictures of the lighthouse (I do too), I prefer to point my camera out to sea. The photo is of the rocks below the lighthouse.

Cape Cottage is the location of Portland Head Lighthouse. This photo was taken the morning after a spring storm. The lighthouse in the distance is on Ram Island Ledge.

The western shore of Lake Sebago, taken just after a snowfall, in the town of Long Beach.
