Photo Painting - Photopaintings by Corvis WhiteCorvis White Photopaintings

A Photopainting is a digital photograph that has been manipulated; the colors are saturated, the detail diffused, with some elements removed, some added. The resulting image has many of the qualities of a painting.  The source images in Maine provide most of the structure, but manipulation of the images adds surprising emotional impact.

Fred Weymouth PhotographyDavid Andreasen Photography

David Andreasen Photography is based in Portland, Maine. Most of his photographs are taken with black and white film and digitally converted to color using the duotone method. Four unique colors are added to selected tonal areas to create a quadtone photograph. This is like hand coloring, except with slider and mouse instead of paint and brushes. Colors are chosen to enhance mood and psychological effect.
