Jul 28 thru Jul 30, 2017. It's time for the Eliot Antique Tractor & Engine Show at the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum. The place "Where Tractors & Engines Meet." This is the largest fundraiser for the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum and raises funds to continue the preservation of the 33 acre circa 1800's dairy farm. The event brings a large assortment of Tractors, Engines and farming displays to the beautiful farm and open pastures. This event attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of spectators each year and should not be missed. Families can spend the entire day at the farm enjoying a variety of events from the Auction and Pasta dinner on Friday night to the Ladies Skillet Toss, Kids Pedal Pull, live entertainment with Mike Hashem renowned banjo player, tractor parades, crafters, barrel tractor rides, face painting, Kids Korner, Colonial Encampment and three different kinds of tractor pulling throughout the weekend. Admission $6 per person children 12 and under free. Plenty of free parking. Jul 01, 2017. Boothbay Railway Village hosts a meet of antique engines and other early mechanical devises in partnership with the Maine Antique Power Association (MAPA). Engine buffs and lovers of all things mechanical will enjoy this opportunity to see "one lungers" and other early gasoline, diesel and steam engines operate and to learn about them first-hand from their passionate owners. Invitations have also been extended to members of the Antique Outboard Motor Club's Pine Tree Chapter to participate. The Museum's engine exhibit has undergone extensive renovations to accommodate a gift of nearly 300 vintage outboard motors from a private collection and the new exhibit will open on May 27, 2017. Admission is free for Museum Members and included with Museum Admission for non-members.
